DAY 26 (it’s raining, it’s pouring)
Today starting out with the usual Monday morning base meeting. After that the rest of the day was very slow & boring. The internet was not working as usual, but for longer than normal. It was only working for about half an hour before we left. We spent the day sitting around waiting for the the van to come back from shopping which it never should up, because the Prado(our normal transportation) suspension went out. We ended up waiting for 4.5 hours, ending up driving at night. Which I am not a big fan of in anyway. This trip only had one close crash though.
We had to eat dinner around 8 tonight because of the late take off. We followed up dinner immediately afterward with our usual debriefing meeting. Which ended with dancing with joy because of it started to rain then to started to pour. Tonight was the first time it has rained in almost four months! As the sweet smell of rain filled the air the sound of water tanks filling became the soundtrack of joy for the night.
